The Wernert Companies are comprised of two separate operating companies setup to serve the different needs of our construction clients. Residential construction is serviced through Wernert Associates, Inc., while commercial and public works construction is serviced through Wernert Construction Management, LLC. Each company holds and maintains appropriate certifications and licensing with the State of Connecticut to remain compliant with state and local laws and to better perform its respective work. Current licenses held by Wernert Associates include New Home Construction Contractor, Home Improvement Contractor and Demolition Contractor. In addition, Wernert Associates, Inc. has a minority WMBE certification with the state Supplier Diversity program. Wernert Construction Management holds the Major Contractor license as well as the Contractor Pre-qualification Certificate with the state of Connecticut.
Throughout the past 20 years of operation, the Wernert companies have consistently held a strong and healthy financial position along with enjoying a high credit rating. Our bonding relationship is with International Fidelity Insurance Company and we hold an A.M. Best Company rating of AA@VI. Our banking institution is JP Morgan Chase a long-term local relationship. J.H. Cohn, LLP are our outside certified public accountants for tax, audit and statement purposes.
Both companies are fully insured in the areas of general liability, auto, umbrella and workers compensation through nationally recognized insurance companies licensed to do business in the state of Connecticut.
